Fur Free Friday 2009

This year, Fur Free Friday IDA kicks off on November 27, 2009, the day after Thanksgiving. Please join animal advocates around the world as we unite to educate shoppers about the real cost to animals when fur is purchased. The recent downturn in the economy has caused a slump in fur sales, which is indeed good news for animals. Let’s keep the momentum going and enlighten more and more people about the horrors fur-bearing animals endure, so shoppers will forever make the choice never to buy any item made with real fur again. Millions of furry animals can't save themselves — please get involved to help them now!

Most fur-bearing animals are raised in fur mills, kept in wire cages with as many as 100,000 "livestock" in a single facility. Trapped in cages, wild fur-bearing animals are denied their most basic natural behaviors.  MORE >>
